Our projects reflect this commitment. Here are just a few. Retail Systems. Providing design, development, and project management, ZyQuest developed several applications for Boscov’s Department Stores, a large east-coast retailer. Projects included Big Ticket, a mainframe-based furniture inventory and fulfillment system, and Price Change Management System, a client/server system with a Visual Basic user interface with DB2 on the back end. Prepaid Cellular. ZyQuest led the cellular telephone industry in the development of handset-based prepaid technology, with operating systems for handsets manufactured by Fujitsu, Niigata, and other international cellular manufacturers. We also developed a back-office Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system for purchasing airtime and downloading credits to the phone. Tennessee Department of Revenue. ZyQuest developed Tennessee’s On-line Motor Fuel Excise Tax filing system. The system allows taxpayers to enter their ax data and print forms and schedules via the Internet. This system also allows for the acceptance of tax data via EDI transmission through SMTP (e-mail), FTP, or EDI VAN Services. ZyTax®. ZyQuest successfully developed a commercial motor fuel excise tax compliance and reporting system for the oil industry. The ZyTax system allows taxpayers to file motor fuel excise taxes electronically to each taxing jurisdiction and generate tax forms and tax schedules. Over 600 tax forms and 1,500 tax schedules for all 50 states and the IRS are generated by this system. We designed and developed this system on an object-oriented 3-tired architecture with the flexibility to use SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2 databases. Currently the market leader, ZyTax has been licensed by most of the major U.S. oil companies, over 700 oil marketers, and several state departments of revenue. Companies such as BP/Amoco, Chevron, Citgo, Texaco, Shell, Sinclair, Wal-Mart, and Williams Pipeline are among the many licensees. GE Medical Systems’ Y2K Remediation Project. Against stiff competition from bidders such as IBM and Keane, we were awarded this $3 million project requiring up to 30 developers. The challenges included the rapid expansion of our staff, developing the technical management and infrastructure to work the project remotely from our Green Bay office, a strict 6-sigma quality standard, and meeting aggressive deadlines. We not only exceeded all client expectations, but we also delivered what was characterized as the most successful remediation project in all of GE. SAP. Since 1999, we have been providing SAP consulting to the oil industry, placing consultants with companies such as Ultramar Diamond Shamrock, Citgo, and Chevron. State of Wisconsin Renewable Resource Credit (RRC) system. Working with Clean Power Markets, Inc. of California, ZyQuest developed a web-based system to track compliance with Wisconsin’s Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS), and facilitate trading of renewable resource credits among electric providers. Paul Helgeson, Coordinator of Renewable Energy Programs at the PSCW, stated that “the system provides an easy way for the 118 utilities, cooperatives, and aggregators to report their compliance with Wisconsin’s RPS, and a means for us to verify that the information is accurate and complete.”
