How do you see your role in ZyQuest?

My role is that of establishing and nurturing relationships with the many different businesses in Northeast Wisconsin, learning as much as I can about their businesses and the issues that they face from an IT perspective, and helping them plan and implement sound business solutions.  This can be by way of helping infuse them with additional IT talent, whether permanent or temporary, or by helping them find new and innovative ways to implement technology within their respective environments.  You need to always remember that IT is really only a tool to enable businesses to prosper and grow.  It must be aligned with the objectives of the business.

How do you see ZyQuest fitting into the corporate climate of Northeast Wisconsin?

All of the ZyQuest team has come from the IT departments of many different companies from throughout Northeast Wisconsin, so we are all technicians at heart.  We aren't necessarily salesmen and recruiters; we're people who've come up through the ranks in applications, infrastructure, and operations roles, so we have lived and breathed IT.  This makes us unique in that we truly are able to empathize with our clients, and can see ourselves in their positions.

How are you involved in the local community?

With two young children in the Green Bay school district, my wife and I are very involved with innumerable school and extra-curricular activities, such as girl scouts, soccer, YWCA/YMCA, gym classes, bowling leagues, golf leagues, music performances, and on and on.  It's enough to keep your head spinning, as all parents know!  In addition, I have long been involved and actively participated in many church activities, such as the RCIA, worship committee, ushering, and alter ministry.  It's the duty of every citizen to be involved in the community, and to stay engaged.

Do you think businesses have a responsibility to get involved with their local communities? Why?

Absolutely.  One has to always remember that in most situations, your customers are always a part of the same community as yourself, and that what you do to raise the level of everyone else in the community comes back to you in the end.  We owe it to each other to support each other, and to stay involved.
