Joe Rosenfield
ZyQuest executive vice president

Joe Rosenfield

How do you see your role in ZyQuest?

As part owner and the original salesman/recruiter for the company, my role is principally that of helping to keep the business growing.  My responsibilities fall into two categories, assisting with executive management as Vice President, and managing relations with many of our customers as an Account Executive.  Most of my time is spent in account management and assisting in most other aspects of our professional services activities, such as recruiting and resource management.

How do you see ZyQuest fitting into the corporate climate of Northeast Wisconsin?

ZyQuest fills an important niche in the corporate culture of Northeast Wisconsin.  We provide a source for IT talent and expertise to local industry and we also help IT professionals to advance their careers without having to leave the area.  As a “home-grown” company, we understand the way local companies do business, which helps us establish long-term customer relationships.

How are you involved in the local community?

I do volunteer mediation for small claims cases in Winnebago and Brown Counties. And I serve on the board of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP), which is involved in local charitable activities and funds educational opportunities for local students.

Do you think businesses have a responsibility to get involved with their local communities? Why?

Yes.  Businesses are part of the community.  As such, they are affected by the local social, political, and economic climate.  In addition to the public relations benefit to a business, any activity that can help improve the quality of life in its community has a positive impact on the business too.
